The Open Call is the open call for projects and proposals that we make every year to participate in The Festival of Consciousness program.
The Festival of Consciousness 2026 will be held on July 10, 11 and 12 in Barcelona at CCIB. The call will be open until November 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Once the call is closed, no more proposals can be submitted for this edition.
2026 Edition Theme
In the previous edition, we asked ourselves who we are and what boundaries define our identity, under the theme “I am not what I am”. In this fifth edition of The Festival of Consciousness, we raise our gaze toward the cosmos to recognize ourselves as part of a whole in motion, where the immense and the tiny beat with the same pulse. We understand that life is constant transformation and that difficulties don’t stop the path: they reveal it.
From this deep understanding emerges a creative disobedience, an impulse that breaks old forms to let in the light of the possible. Starting over thus becomes an act of love and courage, a gesture of trust in life that renews itself ceaselessly, reminding us that each new beginning is the universe breathing through us.
The Festival of Consciousness also has 6 research areas on which the vast majority of proposals are based. The idea behind these themes is to cover, in the most transversal way possible, the entire spectrum of consciousness study and exploration. From its most ethical or ecological part to its most metaphysical and transcendental part. The 6 themes are as follows:
• Science and technology
• Spirituality
• Business
• Art
• Activism
• Education
At the same time, the festival’s themes are only a reference for the type of proposals the festival addresses.
If you feel that your proposal doesn’t fit into any of the themes, or rather investigates multiple themes at once, don’t worry, this is exactly what we’re looking for. The crossovers, the spaces generated between one research area and another, feed curiosity and encourage taking a step further into still unexplored territories, so let’s go forward.
Before submitting your proposal
Don't go to hyperuranion
We all like to explore and investigate the unknown, take flights of fancy, find the commixtion between Kantian a priori thought and the transmutational experientialist contribution of life. The truth is that the simpler and more direct the message is, the more it reaches people’s hearts: LESS IS MORE, to quote an old sage.
Transcend the individual
It’s not just about a proposal, a project, an organization, a brand or a business. It’s an opportunity to join forces and create something that drives our consciousness, coherence and freedom as human beings. The essence of participating in the festival lies in the love of sharing and being a channel for collective growth. Therefore, if your main objective is self-promotion, generating business or other individual goals, the festival is not a space for you. Thank you for understanding.
Project production
FOC will cover the exhibition costs of the sessions during the festival (electrical consumption, on-site assistance from FOC staff, cleaning service…), but will not cover the production or development costs of the project or proposal. FOC will also not cover the materials necessary for the production of your proposal such as paper, pens, plants or flowers, oils, candles…
About your proposal
We accept projects from any part of the world and in English, Spanish or Catalan languages.
Once completed, the application cannot be modified. All information about the project that you enter in the Open Call form will be taken into account only for this process. If you finally participate in FOC, you can make small modifications.
Selection process
A committee made up of several people from different festival teams will read and evaluate each and every proposal. Through consensus, we will choose the proposals that we feel resonate best with the festival’s purpose, values and the edition’s theme.
• If your proposal is selected, you will receive an email, before January 10, 2026, at the address you provide, indicating the next steps to carry it out at FOC 2026.
• If your proposal is not selected, you will also receive an email, before January 10, 2026, communicating this information.
About FOC
The Festival of Consciousness is a deeply collaborative experience, where more than 400 volunteers, from organizers to speakers, have contributed to the same purpose: the collective celebration of the transformation of consciousness in the world.

FAQ's
Who is the Open Call for?
The Open Call is aimed at individuals, collectives or organizations from anywhere in the world who wish to contribute to the celebration of the transformation of global consciousness. We will accept proposals in English, Spanish or Catalan, aligned with the festival’s values, purpose and the edition’s theme.
Why present my project at FOC?
Participating in FOC 2026 means being part of a social and cultural experiment that collaborates in creating a context for the individual and collective impulse and transformation of consciousness to happen. It also means joining an inclusive, open and diverse community that promotes the exchange of ideas and connection between people, projects and organizations with different perspectives.
In addition, your project will be experienced by an international audience interested in the evolution of consciousness.
Where will my project be scheduled?
If your proposal is finally accepted, it will be scheduled on one of the days of July 10, 11 and 12, 2026 at CCIB in Barcelona. Following the agreements that have been established with the programming team.
What will FOC offer me for my participation?
With the aim of demonetizing the collaborative spirit, proposals and projects will not receive financial compensation. However, FOC provides you with advanced infrastructure and a committed human team to ensure that your participation is memorable and enriching for both you and attendees.
As you may have read earlier, FOC will cover the logistical aspects necessary for your session to take place in a professional and well-cared-for environment, but does not finance the production or development of your proposal or specific materials. In addition, your project will be part of a unique collaborative experience, with an international audience that deeply values initiatives that drive the evolution of consciousness.
In addition, we will also offer you:
• You will participate in a happening the night before the festival where you will meet the entire volunteer team that makes it possible.
• You will have access to all Festival sessions.
• During FOC you will have access to a rest area enabled for volunteers.
• We will offer you a discount for the purchase of tickets so that your community and loved ones can experience FOC first-hand.
